You see the need before you decide. No commitment required to browse.

Choose a Need That Moves Your Heart

Not every need will speak to you. That is completely fine. Browse until you find one that does — one that matches your current charity budget, your location preference, your support cause preference and your instinct. There is no obligation to give to any specific need. You choose.

Connect Directly

When you find a need you want to fulfil, click "I Want to Help." The contact details of the person in need will be unlocked. From this point — you connect directly. You speak with them. You satisfy yourself about the genuineness of the need. Karma Samaj steps back. The connection is yours.

Give Directly. Tell Us.

When you are satisfied and ready to give — give directly to the person. No bank account of ours. No UPI of ours. No platform fee. Just your hand to their hand.

Verify with OTP

Once done, ask the beneficiary to provide the system generated OTP. Once you enter the OTP given by the beneficiary, the need will be marked as fulfilled.

Post Your Need

Visit the Post Your Need page. Fill a simple form describing what you need, why you need it, where you are, and how much it will cost. Posting your 'need' is free. Always.

Wait for a Match

Once your need is live, registered donors in your area — or donors who have selected your category of need — will be able to see it. When a donor expresses interest in helping you, we will show your contact details to him so that he can connect with you. We will also notify you immediately that a person named <...> has shown interest in helping you and you might receive a call from the supporter. You will also get an OTP via notification to be given to the supporter at the time of fulfilling the need by him.

Connect Directly

When a donor expresses interest, we share your contact details with him. When he connects directly with you, speak to his questions. Be honest about your situation. He will take final decision after talking to you. The more honest and detailed your original post — the faster and more confidently a donor will reach out.

Receive Help Directly and Mark the Need Fulfilled

The donor gives to you directly — in person, by bank transfer, by UPI, by purchasing the item — whatever method you both agree on. Karma Samaj is not involved in the transaction. Once the need is fulfilled, he will ask to provide the system generated OTP, already sent to you. Once he enters OTP in the system, the need will be marked as fulfilled.

Even if the supporter does not ask you for OTP, you still have the option to mark the need as fulfilled clicking the 'Marked as Fulfilled' button against the name of this supporting person. It helps us keep the platform honest and helps us tell your story — with your permission — so others are inspired to give too.

Platform Safety For Everyone

All interactions are voluntary. You may withdraw from a match at any point before the giving is complete — without any obligation to explain anything to anyone.

You can have upto 5 active needs at a time

Each person can have upto 5 active needs at any given time.

Honest posting only

False or exaggerated needs damage the trust of every genuine user on this platform. So please be honest while posting your genuine needs.

Direct giving only

All giving must be direct — donor to recipient. Any attempt to route money through Karma Samaj Foundation will be declined.

No commercial needs

Business investment, business loan, profit-making ventures, and commercial requirements are not eligible to be posted as needs.

Respectful interaction

All interactions between donors and recipients must be respectful — harassment of any kind leads to immediate removal.

Mark fulfilled needs

Once a need is fulfilled — please mark it. It keeps the platform accurate for other donors.
