What Our Platform Does and Does Not Do

Directly do various kinds of charitable works for the benefit of society at large
2.2 — What we do not do:

Receive, hold, or transfer money between donors and recipients, if the donors are directly fulfilling any need

Verify the authenticity of needs posted on our Connect & Help or Student Support platforms
❌
Guarantee that any posted need is genuine
❌
Guarantee that any registered blood donor will be available when needed
❌
Guarantee specific outcomes from organ pledge registration
❌
Provide medical advice — all health-related decisions should be made with qualified medical professionals

User Responsibilities
By using karmasamaj.com, you agree to:
3.1 — Organ Pledge Users:

Provide accurate and complete personal information

Inform your family of your pledge decision

Notify Karma Samaj Foundation if you wish to revoke or modify your pledge
✅
Not pledge on behalf of another person
3.2 — Blood Donors:
✅
Maintain an accurate and current donor profile
✅
Update your availability status when you are temporarily unable to donate
✅
Respond to emergency notifications in good faith
✅
Not register if you have a medical condition that makes donation unsafe
3.3 — Connect & Help — Those Posting Needs:

Post only genuine, accurate needs
✅
Not post false, exaggerated, or fraudulent needs — this constitutes fraud under applicable law
✅
Mark your need as fulfilled when it is resolved
✅
Engage with donors respectfully and honestly
✅
Preferably, do not post multiple active needs at a time
3.4 — Connect & Help — Donors:

Conduct your own due diligence before giving
✅
Give only through direct means — not through KSF accounts
✅
Engage with recipients respectfully
✅
Not use the platform to solicit personal information beyond what is needed for the giving transaction
✅
Understand that the direct giving is not eligible for benefit under Section 80G of Income Tax Act
3.5 — Student Support — Students:

Post only genuine educational needs
✅
Provide accurate institution and course information
✅
Engage with supporters respectfully and respond promptly

Mark needs as fulfilled when resolved
3.6 — All Users:

Not use the platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose

Not post content that is defamatory, obscene, or hateful

Not impersonate another person or organisation

Not attempt to compromise the security of our platform

Not scrape, copy, or republish our content without permission

Limitation of Liability

4.1 — Connect & Help and Student Support
Karma Samaj Foundation facilitates connections between donors and recipients. We do not verify the authenticity of posted needs. We are not party to any transaction between a donor and a recipient. We accept no liability for:
- The genuineness or accuracy of any posted need
- The outcome of any direct transaction between users
- Any financial loss arising from giving to a fraudulent need
- Any failure of a donor to give after expressing interest
4.2 — Blood Donation
We organise camps in partnership with qualified medical institutions. We accept no liability for:
- Any adverse medical reaction to blood donation — which is managed by the medical partner
- The unavailability of a registered donor in an emergency
- The adequacy of blood supply at any hospital
4.3 — Organ Donation
We facilitate pledge registration and submit to government bodies. We accept no liability for:
- Government processing timelines
- Whether a pledge is honoured — which depends on family consent and medical suitability at time of death
- Any outcome of the transplantation process
4.4 — General
Our total liability to any user for any claim arising from use of our platform shall not exceed ₹1,000 — the nominal registration corpus of the Foundation.
In plain language: We are a charitable facilitation platform. We do what we say we do. We cannot be held responsible for the actions of other users or the decisions of government bodies.

Intellectual Property
5.1 — Our content
All original content on karmasamaj.com — text, design, graphics, logos, and structure — is the property of Karma Samaj Foundation. You may share our content for non-commercial awareness purposes with attribution. You may not reproduce it commercially without written permission.
5.2 — Your content
When you submit a story, photograph, or video to KSF — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it on our website and social media channels, as per your stated permission at time of submission. You retain ownership of your content.
